5 ADVANTAGES OF SOCIAL NETWORKS
1. WE CAN EASILY CONNECT OR COMMUNICATE WITH OTHER PEOPLE IN THE WORLD.
          It is one of the most obvious advantage of social networks. It gives us opportunity to reach people anywhere. We use facebook or messenger to communicate with our family and talk to our old friends and share their thoughts and feelings.
2. INCREASE THE QUALITY OF COLLABORATION FOR STUDENTS.
          Students are better able to communicate to share information quickly, which can help productivity and help them learn how to work in group.
3. GETTING INFORMATION HAPPENS IN REAL-TIME
          Before, we need to wait for the daily newspaper or news broadcast in radio or television to know what is happening around us and we need  to sit, watch and wait for the stories we wanted to see. But nowadays, in just one click, we can easily and quickly access to the  current news and events  we want to know and see.
4. SOCIAL NETWORKING CREATES A LOT OF FUN
          Humans nowadays are naturally social creatures. It feels satisfying when we get a lot of likes, hearts and comments on a post. It can create friendly conversations in the comfort of home. Most people use social networks when they are bored. It is their way for having fun checking in with other people or staying update on the latest news and information.
5. CREATE PRODUCT EXPOSURE FOR BUSINESS.
         Entrepreneurs/Business men used social media/networking to promote their products by means of posting it or through advertisements. Many of them sell their products directly to social media site or through a link to the company’s sales page. With this, they can attract more buyers especially those who are always engaged on social media.

5 DISADVANTAGE OF USING SOCIAL NETWORKS
1. CYBER BULLYING
          Cyber bullying tends to impact teenagers and young adults. The negative comments that occur over social media can lead to depression, stress, and anxiety. Cyber bullying makes teenagers and young adults attempt to suicide or attempt to hurt or harm themselves in a different ways.
2. ADDICTION
          Teenagers are the most affected by addiction of social media. It is harm and it can distract personal lives as well. They may lose their interest in meeting new friends and spending time with them.
3. CAN RUIN SOMEONE’S REPUTATION
          Social networking can easily ruin someone’s reputation. By creating a false story and spreading across social media.
4. SOCIAL NETWORKING CAN DESTROY HEALTH
          Social networking can also have negative impact on the health. Most of the people get lazy, forget to eat their meals and may not be able to sleep properly because of excessive use of social networking sites.
5. GETTING LOW GRADES
          Some students come to class but they do not focus on studying. While their teacher is teaching, they are using cellphone to surf facebook or to play mobile games. As a result, in the exams and quizzes, they got low scores.

5 PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES WHEN USING SOCIAL MEDIA
1. TURN ON YOUR PRIVACY SETTING
          Limit the audience that sees your post so that you can provide yourself with a reasonable amount of privacy.
2. SET TIME LIMITS ON INTERNET USE
         Spending so much time on sites like facebook, twitter etc. can make teens feel worse.  Set time of limitations to avoid addiction in social media.
3. PASSWORD SHOULD BE PRIVATE
         Don’t share your password even with your friends. Make it as your privacy.
4. THINK BEFORE YOU CLICK
         Think about what you post. Sharing provocative photos and status can cause your problems later on. Think if t is truthful or possibly based on rumours.
5. FAMILIARIZE THE PRIVACY POLICIES OF SOCIAL MEDIA
         To control who can see your personal information.
